The urn measures 9 inches in height and 7 inches at its widest point. This urn has the capacity of up to 135 cubic inches.
'Naked Raku' is a unique technique on this unglazed pot. There is no glaze applied to this piece. It is usually wheel thrown from white stoneware or porcelain. After bisque firing, the urn is dipped in a special slip, then glazed, dried, and fired. The slip cracks when the piece is reduced in the reduction chamber. The smoke enters the cracks. During cleaning, the surface slip is removed revealing the one of a kind pattern beneath.
